Staged Crime: The Money Was Wasted on Betting
Yesterday, around 12:45 PM, a shopkeeper from one of the stores called the police to report a theft from a shop located on Lenin Avenue. The responding police operatives were informed by the shopkeeper that two individuals had entered the store as customers, wrapped a rope around his neck, and threatened him to steal 740,000 drams before fleeing the scene.
However, following operational and investigative measures by the police department of Yerevan and the Malatia division, it was determined that no robbery had actually occurred. Instead, the shopkeeper, Spartak Matevosyan, born in 1995, staged the crime and left marks on his neck with a "USB" cable. It appears that he incurred the mentioned amount as losses while making bets. Spartak Matevosyan has provided a self-incriminating statement. An investigation is underway.
