Larsi is Open: What is the Situation on Armenia's Roads

The Minister of Emergency Situations reports that as of February 15 at 22:00, there are difficult driving conditions on some highways in Armenia.

The Sotk-Karvachar highway is impassable due to icy conditions.

The Vardenyats Pass is difficult to navigate for cargo trucks with trailers.

Drivers are advised to use winter tires exclusively.

According to the Road Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, the Stepantsminda-Larsi highway is open for all types of vehicles.

Construction Works Underway

Construction works are ongoing on the section of the Vanadzor-Alaverdi highway from the 39th km to Bagratashen.

Alternative traffic routes have been established as follows:

For intra-community traffic to Alaverdi, Vanadzor cities, and nearby settlements, proceed via:

1. Vanadzor-Stepanavan-Agarak-Koghes-Aygehart-Odzun-Alaverdi along the route to the Georgian border.
