Trump is Not Concerned About Possible Russian Provocations Against NATO: Axios
US President Donald Trump stated in an interview with Axios that he is not worried about possible provocations from Russia against NATO countries. He referred to the visit of CIA Director John Ratcliffe to Moscow as a "normal operational" meeting and denied reports that the purpose of the visit was to warn Russia against a potential attack on a NATO member country.
On August 25, Ratcliffe met with Sergei Naryshkin, the head of Russia's foreign intelligence service, in Moscow. Naryshkin confirmed the meeting, describing the discussions as regular working communications.
Earlier, European leaders expressed concerns that Moscow might test NATO's resolve through limited military operations.
