Trump Renames Lake Ontario to 'Lake America'
U.S. President Donald Trump has signed an executive order to rename Lake Ontario to 'Lake America'. The document was signed at the White House in the presence of reporters.
According to Trump, the new name takes effect immediately.
When a reporter asked the U.S. President what message he intends to send to Canada with this move, Trump replied, 'None.'
Lake Ontario is one of North America's five Great Lakes and is located on the border between the United States and Canada. It is the easternmost and smallest by area of the Great Lakes, with a surface area of approximately 19,000 square kilometers.
