Tragic Incident in Sevan: Man's Body Found with Rock Tied Around Neck

A tragic incident occurred today, August 26, in the Gegharkunik province. Around 8:50 PM, operational information was received by the Community Police of the Sevan division of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia, stating that a resident of Sevan had left home and left a note indicating his intention to commit suicide.

According to Shamshyan.com, following search operations, the individual was discovered at the public beach along the Yerevan-Sevan-Ijevan highway, approximately 60 meters into the Sevan Lake from the shore. A criminal case has been initiated in the Sevan investigative department under the signs of suicide.

The photo journalist reported that law enforcement found a letter at the deceased's home, and when diver V. Melkonyan retrieved the body from the shore, a rock was discovered tied around the man's neck.
