Pashinyan Says Who Is Responsible for Export Restrictions
During a speech in the National Assembly, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that the export restrictions imposed by Russia on Armenia were requested by representatives of the Armenian opposition.
Pashinyan noted that certain opposition circles have committed to implementing a regime change in Armenia before certain forces in Russia, and that the export restrictions on Armenian goods were intended to contribute to the success of this plan.
According to him, if the restrictions are tightened further, the assessment is that economic difficulties could facilitate achieving regime change through street protests.
Pashinyan also stated that the previously mentioned 'secret plan' by one of the leaders of the opposition 'trio' is, in his view, exactly this program. “But this is not the first plan, similar plans have failed, and this one will fail as well,” Pashinyan declared.
It is worth noting that earlier, Pashinyan had deemed the Russian restrictions on the export of Armenian goods as contrary to the legal framework between Armenia and Russia and to the regulations of the EAEU.
