The text of Armenia's new Constitution will be published in the coming months. This was announced by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan while presenting the government's new program in the National Assembly.

According to him, there should be no reference to the Declaration of Independence in the new Constitution. Pashinyan linked this to the government's stance on not continuing the Nagorno-Karabakh movement and not returning to the logic of the conflict.

“Referencing the Declaration of Independence in the new Constitution would mean continuing the Nagorno-Karabakh movement and returning to the logic of conflict,” he said.

The Prime Minister asserted that in the 2026 national elections, citizens voted in favor of a peace agenda, which has now become the national agenda.

Pashinyan also noted that maintaining, strengthening, and institutionalizing peace with Azerbaijan is one of the government's priorities.
