Three Children Killed, 12 Injured in Drone Attack in Krasnodar
On the night of August 24, Krasnodar faced an attack from unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Air raid alerts were triggered multiple times in the city, accompanied by the sounds of explosions.
According to the Governor of the Krasnodar region, Veniamin Kondratyev, debris from a UAV fell on the territory of a private children's center in Krasnodar. Initially, it was reported that two children had died, but later the Russian Children’s Rights Commissioner Maria Lvova-Belova announced that three minors, aged 13, 15, and 16, had been killed.
A total of 12 people were injured as a result of the attack. Fragments of the UAVs also fell on residential and under-construction apartment buildings, causing fires in storage areas.
The Ozon logistics center located in the village of Enem in the vicinity of Krasnodar was also targeted. The company reported that employees were evacuated and, according to preliminary data, there were no injuries. A significant fire broke out in the warehouse, halting its operations. Ozon stated that products in this warehouse would be temporarily removed from the marketplace, and refunds for canceled orders would be issued to customers.
