Russia Warns Europe: Deployment of Nuclear Weapons Will Not Go Unnoticed
Russia will take into account the possibility of deploying nuclear weapons on Swedish territory in its military and political planning, as well as Sweden's participation in France's nuclear doctrine, said Sergey Belyayev, Russia's ambassador in Stockholm, in an interview with RIA Novosti, commenting on the nuclear weapons deployment potential in Sweden and the kingdom's involvement in France's doctrine.
The ambassador reminded that the topic of nuclear weapons has been actively discussed in Swedish society recently. According to Belyayev, the basis of this discussion is the question of whether European countries can still trust the United States as NATO's leading ally or whether Europe must strengthen its own nuclear capabilities.
