Weather Will Change Suddenly: High Fire Danger Expected
Due to the influx of tropical hot air from Iraqi regions, the highest temperatures are expected to be recorded on August 24, reaching +32…+33°C in mountainous areas, +36…+37°C in foothill zones, and +38…+40°C in the valley areas, especially in Yerevan, the Ararat Plain, and the valleys of Syunik.
From August 22-27, a high-level fire danger situation is anticipated in Yerevan, the Ararat Plain, and the foothills of Aragatsotn, Kotayk, and Vayots Dzor.
In Yerevan, on August 24-25, dry weather is expected. However, from August 26-28, short-term rain and thunderstorms may occur in different areas of the city during the evening hours. During thunderstorms and in the evening, an increase in wind strength is expected, reaching 17-20 m/s.
In the territory of the republic, on August 24, dry weather is forecasted. From August 25-27 in the evening hours, and on the night of the 28th and after noon, short-term rain and thunderstorms are expected in some regions. The wind will be southeast and east at 4-7 m/s, with an increase during thunderstorms expected to be 17-20 m/s.
The air temperature will gradually rise by 3-5 degrees during the day on August 23 and 24.
