Where Have Armenian Flowers Excluded from the Russian Market Gone?
Armenian producers are exporting a significant surplus of their products to Georgia, which has led to price reductions, unequal competition, and problems for local entrepreneurs. This was reported to BMG by Rusiko Mikavan, head of the Association of Florists.
According to her claims, part of the flowers is being imported into Georgia without the marking of the importer and in violation of established standards, and local distributors are unable to compete with the large batches offered at lower prices.
From January to July, Georgia imported $3.3 million worth of flowers from Armenia, which is 53.7% higher than the comparable figure for 2025.
