Vanadzor Municipality Project Director and Expert Arrested

Vanadzor Municipality’s project director Natalia Lapaour and expert David Melkonyan have been arrested. This was reported to "News" by the Anti-Corruption Committee.

“Within the framework of a criminal case initiated by the RA Anti-Corruption Committee, the project director N. L. from the Vanadzor Municipality has been arrested. She is accused of receiving bribes, embezzlement of entrusted property, money laundering, and falsification of official documents. The expert of the same project has also been arrested, accused of assisting in the receipt of bribes. Due to the interests of the preliminary investigation, we cannot provide further information at this time,” the committee stated.
