David Ghazinyan simply reacted at that moment to Vahagn Aleksanyan's deviation from the rules of conducting the session, which led to a disciplinary measure of ejection from the chamber. This was stated today, August 19, by Aram Vardevanyan, Vice Speaker of the National Assembly and a member of the 'Strong Armenia' faction, during a conversation with reporters in the Parliament, commenting on the incident that occurred in the Assembly, as a result of which security personnel were sent into the chamber to remove David Ghazinyan under the order of Vice Speaker Vahagn Aleksanyan.

“As a reminder, such disciplinary measures were not applied, for example, to Taron Chakhoyan. Furthermore, the presiding officer has no authority to provide commentary or ensure the continuation of a speech. When the elections were held for Rubinyan, Konyaryan, and Aleksanyan, they all insisted that they could be impartial, moreover, they claimed that they would be impartial during the session, but now have you seen, for instance, any commentary from any member of the ruling party following a speech by Aleksanyan, Konyaryan, or Rubinyan? You haven't seen it. This approach is incomprehensible,” he said.

Vardevanyan noted that they would indeed return to the chamber, but not today. “This is a political constraint, a bias, or some kind of incomprehensible phenomenon, but it is not the constitutional law of the National Assembly. Ghazinyan simply presented his position regarding the lack of procedure for commenting on a speech, which, by the way, I was also saying at that moment. We will return shortly, I think. Now let us first discuss this within the faction. In any case, our colleague was clearly and unlawfully removed from the chamber,” he said, adding that this issue should be discussed in the Parliamentary Council, which has yet to be formed.

Members of the 'Strong Armenia' faction not only left the chamber but also the National Assembly building.
