Man Humiliated on Orders of Criminal Authority: Case Sent to Court
The Investigative Committee of Armenia’s Main Department for Particularly Important Cases has gathered sufficient factual evidence during the pre-trial investigation into crimes committed against a person, revealing that V.H., who holds the highest rank in the criminal hierarchy, issued an order to A.H. regarding a private issue that arose between A.H. and S.P. The dispute was over unpaid debts, and V.H. instructed A.H. to label S.P. as discredited and dishonorable, punishing him for previously testifying against individuals associated with criminal circles.
Following this conversation, A.H. used violence and cut S.P.'s hair, engaging in actions aimed at fulfilling the objectives of a criminal group. Based on sufficient evidence during the pre-trial investigation, the supervising prosecutor initiated public criminal proceedings against V.H. under Part 1 of Article 322 of the Criminal Code (granting, obtaining, or retaining the highest rank in the criminal hierarchy) and against A.H. under Part 1 of Article 324 (participating in or involving oneself in a criminal group).
Both V.H. and A.H. have been placed in detention as a preventive measure. The criminal case has been sent to the supervising prosecutor for confirmation and subsequent submission to the court.
Note: The accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in accordance with the procedures established by the Criminal Procedure Code with a legally enforced court judgment.
