Intentional Isolation: The Controversial Resignation of the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Advisor

The advisor to the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, Arman Antonian, announced on his Facebook page that he has submitted a resignation request, detailing the reasons for his decision and the systemic issues encountered during his tenure.

"Today, I submitted a request for my release from the position of advisor to the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, in which I outlined the reasons for that decision, as well as the systemic issues that have made it practically impossible to fully exercise the powers arising from the advisor's position. It is impossible to effectively serve the purposes for which I undertook this responsibility under conditions of intentional workplace isolation. If anyone is interested in the real picture and the grounds for my decision, they may refer to my official resignation report presented to the Minister. I thank all my colleagues in the ministry with whom I had the honor to work and communicate. My greatest achievement during my tenure has been the people I met and formed professional and personal relationships with, united by our ideas and a desire to serve the public interest. Any position is temporary, whereas dignified work and adherence to principles are lasting. I will soon address the issues that I believe require urgent resolution. If it was not possible to solve them officially, we will try to contribute to their solutions on a public basis, for the benefit of the state, the development of the sector, and all stakeholders," Antonian stated.
