Nikol Pashinyan Appointed Prime Minister of Armenia
Nikol Pashinyan, put forward by the Civil Contract party, has been appointed as the Prime Minister of Armenia. The President of the Republic has signed the decree: “Based on the first part of Article 149 of the Constitution, Nikol Pashinyan is appointed as Prime Minister.”
It's worth mentioning that earlier it was reported that the first session of the 9th convocation of the National Assembly is taking place. The composition of Armenia's parliament for the 9th convocation was formed as a result of the parliamentary elections held on June 7, 2026. According to these results, the parliament will consist of 105 members, with the Civil Contract party receiving 64 mandates, the Strong Armenia alliance 29, and the Armenia alliance 12.
