Davit Gevorgyan Appointed New Executive Director of Araratcement
The Minister of Economy, Gevorg Papoyan, has appointed Davit Gevorgyan as the executive director of Araratcement LLC. Gevorgyan was previously the assistant to the Prime Minister.
From 2018 to 2021, he served as the governor of Aragatsotn Province, and prior to that, he was the Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure for several months.
This morning, after the cabinet meeting, Papoyan announced that he plans to visit the company to finalize the director's appointment. 'The legislation provides for other regulations here. The government has completely passed to the Ministry of Economy, and the director will be an employee of the ministry,' he noted.
According to the minister, decisions regarding other institutions will also be made. 'I assure you, we are no less interested in having the economic activities function fully. Noaye will reopen. We also discussed the issue of grape procurement, as problems will arise related to procurement if the factory does not operate,' Papoyan said.
It is worth reminding that he previously stated that the manager of Araratcement would be appointed in July. 'Until then, I urge all company employees to perform their duties diligently and responsibly, so as not to create grounds for dismissal or administrative and criminal liability under the law later on,' the minister wrote.
