Logistics Revolution: China Launches New Maritime Route
China will launch its first weekly Arctic container express route from China to Europe on August 15, which will traverse the Northern Sea Route. This was reported by Xinde Marine News.
Last year, China’s state-owned Global Times newspaper reported that the world's first ship to travel on the China-Europe Arctic container express route departed from Ningbo-Zhoushan Port with the largest cargo turnover in the world on September 24, 2025, heading to Felixstowe Port in Great Britain.
Sea Legend Line Limited will resume its CAX China-Europe Arctic Express service in August, conducting eight consecutive weekly voyages from Ningbo-Zhoushan Port during the 2026 Arctic navigation season, according to the announcement.
Local media report that this will be the first weekly Arctic container express on this route. The inaugural voyage will set sail from Ningbo on August 15 aboard the vessel Dubai Tower.
According to Sea Legend Line Limited, the transit from Ningbo-Zhoushan Port to Felixstowe will take approximately 20 days, providing shippers with a faster maritime transport option between China and Europe.
