Gunshots in Central Yerevan: What Happened?
On May 16, gunshots were heard in Yerevan. Around 01:50, reports came in that a dispute occurred on Parpetzi Street, during which gunfire was exchanged.
Auroranews.am attempted to clarify with the Ministry of Internal Affairs what transpired and whether there were any injuries as a result of the gunfire. “It was an act of hooliganism, there are no casualties, and measures are being taken to clarify all the circumstances of the incident,” said Ministry spokesperson Narek Sargsyan to Auroranews.am.
It should be noted that information regarding the incident has been forwarded to the Investigative Committee of Armenia's Yerevan investigative department, where a criminal case has been initiated.
