Scandalous New Recording: Bribery for Choosing Kocharyan
As a result of measures undertaken by the RA Anti-Corruption Committee, factual data has been obtained indicating that a supporter of the "Armenia" alliance and the head of its office in Spitak provided financial means free of charge to a voter residing in the Lori province of Armenia after the presidential decree on holding regular parliamentary elections comes into force on February 7, 2026, during the legislative ban on conducting charity.
Moreover, along with other individuals, he obstructed the voter’s free exercise of electoral rights through threats of violence against him.
In connection with the case, a criminal proceeding has been initiated at the RA Anti-Corruption Committee, with several individuals arrested and searches and other procedural actions taken.
The Anti-Corruption Committee informs that ensuring the legality of electoral processes remains a priority, and all electoral-related legal violations are under daily scrutiny of the Committee, reminding that bribery is punishable by 7 to 8 years of imprisonment.
We urge everyone to refrain from any illegal influence on the electoral process, ensuring the citizens’ right to freely express their will.
