Police Discover Hallucinogenic Mushrooms in Yerevan; One Arrested

The Criminal Police Department received operational information regarding a 31-year-old man illegally acquiring and distributing cocaine. On May 11, around 18:45, while acting on the received information, both the young man and his father were arrested in Yerevan’s Vashtun street and transported to the Mashtots community police station along with the car driven by the son, a model 'Infiniti'.

According to police reports, at the time of the arrest, the young man had thrown an electric cigarette and a cigarette pack from the car, which upon inspection revealed 10 packages of cocaine, totaling 11.51 grams in weight. A criminal case has been initiated, and following a court order, a search was conducted at the young man's residence, where an electronic scale, 9 tubes intended for drug use, 13 grams of marijuana, 23.72 grams of hallucinogenic mushrooms, and a pill were discovered.

The 31-year-old has been arrested, and the investigation is ongoing.
