Video: Papoyan Provides Details on ‘Jermuk’ Exports
There are no issues related to the export of ‘Jermuk’ mineral water and fruits. This was stated on May 13 during an interview with journalists by the Minister of Economy of Armenia, Gevorg Papoyan, who is currently on leave.
He noted that the problematic batch referred to by the Russian side constitutes a very small volume in the overall share of ‘Jermuk’ mineral water exports to Russia. “After that, Armenia exports many times more than that volume and will continue to do so. There are no problems; we have exported millions of bottles,” said Papoyan.
He added that there are no issues related to the export of apricots to the EAEU and Russian markets, and there cannot be. The minister further indicated that this year, Armenia is exporting larger volumes of spirit and brandy compared to the previous year. According to him, this means that there will be no problems related to grape procurement.
“The exported fruits are selling, the greenhouse products are selling; there are no problems, and we are working to ensure that there are none,” Papoyan concluded.
