Iran Files Lawsuit Against the USA
Tehran has filed a lawsuit with the Hague Arbitration Court against the USA due to attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities and sanctions, reported the 'Mizan' agency, which is linked to Iran's judicial authorities.
"The Iranian government has filed a lawsuit in the Hague Arbitration Court against the USA for 'military aggression towards Iranian nuclear facilities,' 'imposition of economic sanctions,' and 'threats of the use of force,'" the agency's statement read.
According to their data, the complaint was submitted due to the USA's 'violation of international obligations' during the '12-day war' against Iran in June 2025, where the USA participated in Israel's military conflict against Iran. The document itself was registered between February and March 2026.
The agency notes that the Iranian government has submitted the lawsuit in accordance with the 1981 Algerian Agreements, which foresee the establishment of an international arbitration tribunal to resolve disputes between Iran and the USA, including Washington's refusal to intervene in Tehran's affairs.
According to 'Mizan', Iran is requesting the arbitration to intervene and demand the USA to cease both direct and indirect interference in Iran's internal affairs, as well as to fully compensate for all damages incurred.
