Daniel Ioannisyan's Sharp Commentary on Russia
Russian state television claims that elections in Armenia will be rigged and that there are political prisoners. This was stated by Daniel Ioannisyan, the head of the 'Informed Citizens' NGO, on his Facebook page.
“Can you imagine? Russia is teaching us democracy, where opposition leaders are killed (shot on the street and poisoned by the FSB), where one can be imprisoned for liking a post that criticizes Putin or for taking part in any protest, where there are 1,400 political prisoners and 5,100 people imprisoned for political reasons, and where all social media is banned.
Russia is discussing our elections, where elections have long become a formal organizational event, and none of the allowed candidates criticize Putin, where, despite all this, the transparency of the elections is decreasing, cameras are being removed from polling stations (to prevent the spread of stuffing footage), and all independent observers who haven't managed to flee the country are sitting in prison,” he wrote.
