The Uncle of Children Victimized by Abuse in Vedi Released from Detention
The uncle of children victimized by abuse in Vedi, Thomas, has been released after the expiration of his detention period. Attorney Ruben Melikyan has reported that the uncle was released at 15:30, as the 72-hour detention period came to an end.
However, active investigative actions are still ongoing, and it will soon be clarified whether charges will be brought against him.
It is important to note that following a tip received in February, the police had arrested two suspects in connection with the abuse case. The case was forwarded to the Investigative Committee, but the men were not detained. According to available information, after being released, they continued to engage in immoral acts against girls.
Outraged by the actions of law enforcement, the children's uncle reportedly injured one of the men, after which he was arrested again.
