Public Criminal Prosecution Launched in Vedi Child Abuse Case
A third person has been charged in the case involving underage sisters in Vedi, as reported by the Investigative Committee. During the pre-trial investigation, public criminal prosecution has been initiated against V.E. under the third part of Article 201 of the Criminal Code (committing lewd acts against a person deprived of the ability to resist or comprehend the nature of the act being committed against them).
It is worth noting that following the scandalous incident in Vedi, Tigran Shokhoyan, the head of the Ararat regional investigative department, and Lernik Vardanyan, the head of the Vedi investigative division, have been dismissed from their positions.
