Two Individuals Arrested in Case of Minor Sisters in Vedi: Investigative Committee

In the town of Vedi, Ararat province, two individuals have been arrested in connection with a widely publicized case involving minor sisters. This information has been confirmed by the Investigative Committee.

Previously, the Prosecutor General's Office informed Auroranews.am that criminal prosecution has been initiated against A.E. under the second part, points 2 and 4 of Article 198 of the Criminal Code (committing sexual acts against a minor in a vulnerable situation) and D.A. under the same article with three instances.

It should be noted that according to the Investigative Committee's statement, on February 12, 2026, the father of the minor sisters filed a report with the Vedi division of the Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, stating that on February 8, V. E. had committed indecent acts against his daughter, who is suffering from a diagnosed intellectual disability.
