Ted Turner Was One of the Biggest Figures in Broadcasting: Trump
US President Donald Trump expressed condolences over the death of Ted Turner, the founder of CNN, calling him one of the greatest figures of all time.
According to Trump, Turner, who founded CNN and later sold it, experienced personal turmoil as a result of that deal. Trump stated that the new owners took away and destroyed his "child"—the television channel—transforming it into a propaganda tool, which Turner never accepted.
Trump expressed hope that the new buyers, whom he described as wonderful people, would be able to restore the network's former glory and trust.
In concluding his remarks, Trump emphasized that Turner was one of the biggest figures in the history of broadcasting and his friend, who always supported him and was willing to fight for justice.
