Ministry of Emergency Situations Issues a Warning Statement as Rescuers Transition to Emergency Service Mode
According to the Hydro-Meteorology and Monitoring Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, significant rises in water levels are expected in several river basins of the Republic (Arpa, Yeghegnis, Hrazdan, Marmarik, Vedi) on the evening of May 4 and in the coming days, due to thunderstorms.
“Dangerous outbursts, flooding of coastal areas are possible, especially in the regions of Areni–Yeghnaghat–Vayk, Hrazdan, Hankavan, Aghavnadzor, and Urtadzor.
By order of the Minister of Emergency Situations, awareness-raising activities have been organized, and the responsible units of the ministry have established communication with partner organizations, while the rescue units have transitioned to emergency service mode.
Dear citizens, please avoid being near riverbank areas, and in case of danger, immediately call 112,” the Ministry of Emergency Situations reports.
