Samvel Aleksanyan to Import 350,000 Kilograms of Buffalo Meat from India

Large businessman and former MP from the Armenian Revolutionary Federation, Samvel Aleksanyan, is preparing to import 350,000 kilograms of buffalo meat from India, as well as 900,000 kilograms of pork fat from Italy, and 300,000 kilograms of chicken breast from China, which is produced in the United States. This was reported by Factor.

The total expenditure for the large-scale businessman will amount to 1 billion 640 million AMD. More than one and a half tons of meat products will be sold under his company, 'Mit Food' LLC.

Aleksanyan has applied to the Armenian government for an exemption from the customs duty on the imported meat products. The customs duty is set at 270 million AMD.

'Mit Food' LLC, owned by Samvel Aleksanyan, specializes in the production of sausages, delicacies, as well as traditional Armenian basturma and sujuk.

Against the backdrop of benefits provided by the state, it is noteworthy that sausages produced by Aleksanyan's company have already fallen out of competition compared to other manufacturers.
