“New Force” political party prime ministerial candidate Hayk Marutyan stated: “You say we should not look at Ararat, should we forget that Ararat exists?”

He noted that people primarily visit Khor Virap for the view of Ararat. Marutyan questioned whether there was an issue with not showcasing Ararat due to an agreement with Erdoğan and Aliyev, and why it is impossible to place a monument where the mountain's visibility wouldn’t be a concern.

“You are deliberately placing Khor Virap without Ararat. In my opinion, you are doing this on purpose to humiliate us all, so the whole world can see that we are degraded,” he said.
