Iran Bans Steel Exports
The Iranian customs service has officially imposed a ban on the export of steel products from the country.
The customs service communicated the directive banning the export of steel products to relevant authorities. This decision comes in the context of significant damage suffered by the country’s major industrial facilities as a result of the ongoing war with the United States and Israel. In particular, metallurgical giants such as 'Foolad Mobarakeh Isfahan' and 'Foolad Khuzestan' have been affected.
According to official statistical data, Iran ranks 10th in the world in terms of steel production volumes. Last year, the country produced 32 million tons of steel.
