Iveta Mukuchyan's Photo Has Been Altered
An image of singer Iveta Mukuchyan is circulating online, showing her with a pendant shaped like a crescent moon and a star on her forehead. The singer is being criticized for wearing this pendant during her performance on April 25, Citizens' Day.
As is well known, the crescent moon and star are symbols present on the flags of Turkey and Azerbaijan, as well as several other Muslim countries. However, the claim is actually false; moreover, the image was not taken during the Citizens' Day concert. Iveta Mukuchyan's headpiece is actually in the shape of a cross, and the photo was taken from a music video she uploaded to her YouTube channel in December 2020.
