VIDEO: The U.S. Bombs An Iranian Cargo Ship
The United States forces operating in the Arabian Sea applied measures for maritime blockade on April 19 against an Iranian cargo ship heading towards an Iranian port, the U.S. Central Command reported.
It is noted that the U.S. Navy destroyer halted the vessel, named Touska, in the northern part of the Arabian Sea. American forces had repeatedly warned the ship about violating the blockade.
After the crew of the Touska ignored warnings for six hours, the naval vessel ordered the ship to be taken out of commission by firing several rounds from a 127 mm MK 45 gun. Later, the ship was placed under the control of the U.S. Marine Corps.
Since the imposition of the blockade, the U.S. has redirected 25 commercial vessels, forcing them to turn back or return to Iranian ports, according to the statement.
