Video: Funds for 8 New Buses Collected, Avinyan
The Mayor of Yerevan has reported that over the past two weeks, funds collected from transportation payments amount to the cost of approximately 8 new buses. Mayor Tigran Avinyan noted that this figure, recorded based on accounts of previous non-payers, demonstrates the effectiveness of the new method, despite some generated inconveniences.
“As much as our new method creates certain inconveniences, it is nonetheless quite effective in terms of collection and discipline,” he stated. Avinyan also announced that in the coming weeks, 45 new trolleybuses are expected to be imported, and he has instructed the preparation of a proposal for the acquisition of 170 new buses. The mayor was informed that the trolleybuses are currently in the Russian Federation and are already on their way.
