Investigative Committee Launches Proceedings on Explosion at Nubarashen Landfill
The Investigative Committee has initiated a criminal case following the explosion at the Nubarashen landfill under Article 412, Part 1 of the Criminal Code, concerning the circulation of raw materials or goods that do not meet safety requirements. Several expert examinations have been appointed. This was reported to Auroranews by the Investigative Committee.
It is important to note that during a recent meeting of the Yerevan Municipality, it was mentioned that an unusual odor had spread in the landfill's restroom. The director attempted to investigate the source of the odor, entered the premises to turn on the light, and an explosion occurred.
According to medical reports, the director is in stable serious condition. David Karapetyan, head of the Health Department of the Municipality, stated, "The condition of both individuals is assessed as stable but serious, with 15% of skin affected on the hands and face. Importantly, the respiratory organs are not compromised."
