Iran Again Closes the Strait of Hormuz

Iran has returned the strategically significant Strait of Hormuz under the strict control of its armed forces. The Hazrat Khatam al-Anbiya Central Command has announced that the strait has reverted to its previous status due to U.S. actions, which Tehran describes as "piracy and maritime looting."

"The Islamic Republic of Iran, in accordance with previous agreements reached during negotiations, has willingly agreed to a limited and controlled passage of oil and commercial vessels through the Strait of Hormuz. Unfortunately, the Americans, with their numerous violations of obligations, continue to engage in piracy and maritime looting under the pretext of a so-called blockade. For this reason, the control of the Strait of Hormuz has returned to its previous state, and this strategic strait is now under strict management and supervision by the armed forces," the command stated in its announcement.

The Iranian side emphasized that this strict control regime will continue until Washington stops obstructing the free passage of ships to and from Iranian ports.
