Graves in Azerbaijan Submerged Under Water
One of the cemeteries in Azerbaijan's Absheron region has been flooded. Residents report that the graves have been submerged for about 15 days. Locals indicate that the problem has yet to be resolved.
The regional executive authority has clarified that rainwater and groundwater have accumulated in the lower part of the cemetery, leading to the flooding.
According to official data, efforts to remove the water have been underway since the first day, both in the cemetery area and on the roads used by the community. Additional pumps have been engaged, and drainage channels have also been dug to expedite the outflow of water.
Cleaning operations are also ongoing in areas where water has collected around the graves. It has been noted that the work is still in progress.
