Dmitry Medvedev Becomes Chief Editor
Russia's Deputy Chairman of the Security Council Dmitry Medvedev has been appointed as the chief editor of new school textbooks on social studies for grades 9-11, reported Olga Koludarova, Deputy Minister of Education of the Russian Federation.
"Last year we approached Medvedev, asking him to serve as the chief editor of the textbook series. He responded to our request. The page-by-page comments, suggestions, edits, and much more have been reflected not only in the final version of the textbook but also in the new federal standards for social studies and in the working programs," noted Koludarova.
