Iran's Parliamentary Speaker Issues Statement
The Speaker of Iran's Parliament has stated that the U.S. military presence in the Middle East does not bring security.
Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf, in an interview with state television, emphasized that the security of the region should be ensured by the countries of the region themselves. “The face and order of the Middle East will change, but not according to American plans. We, the Islamic countries of the region, will establish regional order and security, both economically and defensively,” Qalibaf stated.
He also noted that American forces should leave the region.
