Samvel Karapetyan is the Next Prime Minister of Armenia: Narek Karapetyan
There is no consensus among foreign centers regarding Nikol Pashinyan's candidacy, and so far only Turkey's Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has mentioned that he would like Pashinyan to continue his activities. Narek Karapetyan, a member of the Strong Armenia party, stated this in a conversation with journalists in front of the Anti-Corruption Court.
“Thus, Pashinyan's activities align with the interests of the Republic of Turkey,” he said.
Referring to the claims from the authorities that Samvel Karapetyan's expectation in this election is to gain votes and make Robert Kocharian prime minister because Samvel Karapetyan cannot be prime minister, Narek Karapetyan noted:
“Imagine, they have worked for eight months to find something bad regarding Samvel Karapetyan, and they haven’t found anything. This statement is evidence that they cannot find anything against the man, and therefore they need to link him to those people whom a part of society has a conflicting attitude towards. The next prime minister of Armenia will be Samvel Karapetyan. The next prime minister must be an economic figure, a new person; we need to bring new leadership to Armenia, an economic leader who will address the issue of poverty. Samvel Karapetyan will be the next prime minister of the Republic of Armenia. If many MPs from the Civil Contract support Samvel Karapetyan, we do not rule out such support,” he answered.
In response to the remark that Robert Kocharian's supporters say Armenia needs a strong leader and that strong leader is not Samvel Karapetyan, but Robert Kocharian, Karapetyan replied:
“The opposition is not monolithic; since we are a new force, we have a completely different vision regarding Armenia's future. The other opposition groups had a vision they implemented to some extent, whether well or poorly, let our society decide,” concluded Narek Karapetyan.
