Armenian Foreign Ministry Issues Statement Regarding Citizens in Qatar
Amid developments in the Middle East, the Armenian Embassy in Doha continues to maintain daily contact with Armenian citizens residing in Qatar and provide necessary assistance. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Two meetings with Armenian citizens were organized at the embassy with the participation of Ambassador Tigran Gevorgyan. Following discussions and an assessment of needs, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs decided to ensure that all Armenian citizens in Qatar would receive entry visas to Saudi Arabia, a result achieved through the efforts of the ministry and the embassy.
On March 12, the Armenian Embassy in Doha organized free transportation from Qatar to Oman for Armenian citizens, of which all citizens were informed. Ten Armenian citizens, including those with health issues and the elderly, took advantage of this opportunity. Ambassador Gevorgyan accompanied the Armenian citizens to the Saudi Arabian border.
Entry visas to Saudi Arabia were also issued for the Armenian men's national gymnastics team located in Qatar, facilitating their return to Armenia.
