Azerbaijan Sends Aid to Iran: Media Reports
Following a telephone conversation between Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on March 8, 2026, humanitarian aid has been sent to Iran to address the ongoing needs of the Iranian people, Azerbaijani media reports.
According to the reports, at the directive of the head of state, a vehicle from the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan has transported a humanitarian cargo to Iran, which includes 10 tons of flour, 6 tons of rice, 2.4 tons of sugar, over 4 tons of water, nearly 600 kg of tea, and around 2 tons of medicine and medical supplies.
