Iran's President Discusses Attacks on Nakhchivan with Azerbaijan's President
Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian has stated that Tehran has no involvement in the drone strike directed at Nakhchivan. This was reported by the press service of the President of Azerbaijan, referencing the communication between the leaders of the two countries.
Pezeshkian emphasized that the incident must be thoroughly investigated. He mentioned that Iranian authorities are preparing to examine the circumstances of the event to ascertain what occurred and who might be responsible.
In turn, Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev expressed condolences for the civilian casualties in Iran during recent events. He underscored the importance of civilian safety and noted that such incidents raise concerns in the region.
Both parties also highlighted the need for further clarification of the situation and the continuation of communication.
