Iran is in a situation it has never been in before: situation may worsen, Trump

U.S. President Donald Trump has announced that a possible war against Iran could influence the position of the Hamas movement operating in the Gaza Strip. He believes that a weakening of Tehran could encourage the disarmament of the group.

In an interview with Times of Israel, the White House leader was asked whether Iran's weakening as one of Hamas's main financial backers could force the movement to renounce arms. Trump responded that such a development is possible. According to him, "many people could disarm due to the war against Iran, because Iran is now in a situation it has never been in before, and the situation could get worse for them."

He also noted that Iran's current status could impact the forces in the region that are connected to Tehran in various ways.
