New Regulations Established for Electronic Wallet Holders
The Idram payment system has informed its subscribers that starting from March 2, forced collection service measures may apply to funds available in electronic wallets. This will include freezes or money seizures if there is an ongoing enforcement process against the account holder. This change is due to amendments in the legislation of the Republic of Armenia. It is worth noting that Idram LLC is regulated by the Central Bank of Armenia.
Following this announcement, Auroranews received numerous calls from its listeners. The Forced Collection Service has informed Auroranews that according to the new legislative regulations, starting from March 2 of this year, a freeze will be applied to the debtor's electronic funds corresponding to their obligations. Seizures will be made from the electronic money account held by the debtor in payment processing organizations, meaning the available funds in their electronic wallet.
