Pensions and Benefits to be Paid Exclusively Through Non-Cash Means
Starting April 1, 2026, pensions and benefits throughout the Republic of Armenia will be paid exclusively through non-cash means. This was announced by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs.
“From March 5, 2026, citizens who receive pensions or benefits in cash and do not submit a request to change the payment method will have their bank selected automatically, without a formal application. Furthermore, during the period from March 5 to April 1, applications for changing banks will not be accepted,” the statement said.
It is also noted that the banks will send cards exclusively through postal services to citizens with mobility limitations, with social workers present if necessary. All pensioners and benefit recipients are urged to submit requests for changing the payment method before March 5, 2026,” the announcement emphasizes.
