United States to Supply Ukraine with $15 Billion in Weapons: Ryten
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte has announced that by 2026, the United States will supply Ukraine with $15 billion worth of weapons as part of a procurement program funded by NATO allies.
"They are supplying one billion euros per month. Thus, this year it will amount to about $15 billion or 12 billion euros, including crucial lethal and non-lethal capabilities, such as jammers designed to destroy Russian missiles," Rutte said in an interview with American PBS television.
Earlier, former U.S. President Donald Trump announced that the U.S. is no longer directly financing Ukraine, but rather is receiving funding for arms sales through NATO. On July 14, Trump announced a new military assistance program for Ukraine: Washington sells weapons to NATO's European allies, who pay for them, and then transfer them to Kyiv.
