Gold Prices Decrease: Precious Metals Prices Fluctuate
On February 10, trading results from the NYMEX in New York showed changes in the futures prices of precious metals. The price of gold futures decreased by 0.02 percent, reaching $5049.90 per troy ounce. Similarly, the price of silver also recorded a drop, falling by 2.25 percent to $80.22 per troy ounce. Meanwhile, the futures value of platinum increased by 2.48 percent, reaching $2143.50 per troy ounce.
These prices are calculated per troy ounce, which is equivalent to 31.1 grams. NYMEX is an American futures exchange where trading is organized in two main directions: energy products and commodities, as well as through the COMEX platform in the market for precious and industrial metals.
