Rosatom Ready to Commence Nuclear Power Plant Project in Armenia as Soon as Possible
The construction of a nuclear power plant is a critical point in the dialogue between Moscow and Yerevan, stated Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin in an interview with the Izvestia newspaper.
The diplomat noted that the issue of the nuclear plant is consistently raised at various levels of bilateral cooperation.
“Rosatom is prepared to start the project implementation as soon as possible, naturally taking into account the wishes of our Armenian partners,” Galuzin declared.
He also emphasized that there are no real alternatives to this project, considering the reliability of proven technologies and attractive financial conditions. Galuzin added that this pertains to both the construction phase and the subsequent operation of the plant, as well as the training of necessary specialists.
